Promoting your site
Is your website really working? Is it being found often enough on the crowded national high street that is the web? Is it converting page views into enquiries or sales? Unfortunately just having a pretty web site isn't enough to stand out from the crowd where it really matters – on key search engines such as Google, MSN and Yahoo.
If you are serious about making your web site work in tandem with your sales team, then it needs to be optimised and marketed. By that we mean developing the site so that search engines direct more visitors to it and improving the design to encourage them to stay long enough to make an enquiry or purchase.
In other words, there is much more to creating a successful web site than just designing it and leaving it out there, unassisted, in cyberspace.
